Transit Travelshed Model 公交可达性模型
Transit Travelshed is my signature project I initiated at DCP in 2018. The model can calculate the transit travel time between locations in the New York region. More importantly, it can help us identify neighborhoods in the city with high/low access to jobs and labor force through public transit. The tool can also help visualize the impact of planned transit projects such as new Metro-North stations in the Bronx, Interborough Express connecting Brooklyn and Queens, etc. The work has been widely recognized and used in the agency to inform strategic decisions and was also shared with sister agencies like DOT and EDC for various purposes. I built this tool with solely open-source software (e.g., OpenTripPlanner) and open data (e.g., GTFS data).

Here is an example of visualizing how Interborough Express can change the travelsheds and transit access to jobs and labor force.
