Being a planner/engineer/data analyst, I am always willing to explore new worlds and equip myself with a unique set of skills.
I was trained in architecture/urban design/planning during my undergraduate days at Tongji University and was exposed to a wide range of planning topics thanks to the great program taught by professors with different areas of expertise.
In the graduate school, I chose transportation planning as my focus and enjoyed learning various planning policies and quantitative skills through wonderful courses at UNC and internship experience at ITRE.
When I first started my job at DCP, I delved more into the transportation engineering field and learned a lot from my mentors and colleagues through projects. In the meantime, I also picked up data science as a hobby and spent lots of my spare time on numerous online courses and pet projects. It turns out that my hobby has now become part of my daily work – I am leading a team of four on data analytics while still serving as a senior transportation planner/engineer and working on neighborhood studies and land use applications mainly in the Bronx.
Here is a showcase of some of my previous projects.
